Roasted pepper hummus

Ingredients

2 cans of chickpeas - salt free

¼ cup tamari

½ cup tahini

2 lemons

1 tablespoon olive oil - optional

1 large head of garlic

1 sweet red pepper

1 jalapeno pepper

Steps

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Roast garlic and peppers until garlic is soft and peppers are charred. 

When done cover while cooling. This will enable you to remove the peppers' skin easily. 

When the garlic is cooled enough to handle, cut the end of the bulb off and squeeze the flesh into the blender.

Peel and seed the peppers. 

Combine all your ingredients in your high speed blender. One can of chickpeas with its liquid and one can drained (save the liquid, it can be used as a vegan egg replacement). Tamari, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, roasted garlic and roasted peppers that have been skinned and the seeds removed..

Blend until smooth.

It will last a week in your fridge.
