Super seed crackers

Super seed crackers

Ingredients

1/2 cup hemp hearts

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup sesame seeds

1/2 cup chia seeds - grind if you don't like chia seeds texture

2 large garlic cloves finely grated

 2 tablespoons grated sweet onion

1 cup of water (I use purified water in all my recipes)

Freshly ground sea salt to taste (I usually use around 1/4 teaspoon)

Steps

Preheat oven to 325 F.

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Grate the garlic and the onion into the water.

Combine all the seeds and sea salt into a bowl. Mix well, then add the water mixture and stir.

Incorporate the wet and the dry ingredients well. Let it sit a few minutes while the chia, which is the binder, absorbs some of the water.

Spread the seed mixture evenly on the baking sheet.

Bake for 30 minutes. It should be stiff enough to flip the entire sheet of crackers over. Remove the parchment paper. Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut it into squares.

Bake for another 30 minutes until golden brown.

Cool and enjoy.  I store the crackers in an open container so they stay crispy.
