Chocolate chickpea spread

I am not going to tell you this tastes like Nutella or a decadent chocolate pudding, but it is a chocolatey, protein-filled treat. I like it prepared with fresh fruit.

Yields: 2 cups

Ingredients 

1 can salt-free chickpeas – drained and rinsed

⅓ cup cacao

¼ cup plant-based milk

10 pitted dates

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 tablespoon cinnamon

2 teaspoons vanilla

Steps

Put all the ingredients in a food processor with the S-blade. Mix until smooth and creamy. Serve as a dessert or snack with some fresh fruit. It could also be used as a layer in a parfait.
