Spicy tahini sauce

This dressing is very versatile. It is great as a dip for French fries, wonderful drizzled on sweet corn, makes a good dressing for potato salad and takes your falafel up a notch.

Yields 1 cup

Ingredients

½ cup lemon juice – approx. 4 lemons 

¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons tahini

3-4 tablespoons sambal oelek or siracha (chili paste)

3 tablespoons of nutritional yeast

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 garlic clove minced

½ teaspoon Himalayan or sea salt

½ cup of purified water

Steps

Put all the ingredients except chili paste in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Add water to get to the right consistency. Fold in the chili sauce. Use 3 or 4 tablespoons depending on how much heat you prefer.

It will thicken in the fridge, just use water to thin it out.
